How the 3D Scanning and 3D Printing Process Works
Below is our standard and transparent workflow — from the initial idea to the finished product.
1. Project clarification
At the first stage, we thoroughly discuss all project details.
The client must clearly describe what result is expected from 3D scanning and 3D modeling:
- the purpose of 3D scanning and 3D modeling;
- requirements for geometry and level of detail;
- acceptable dimensional tolerance (if deviations are allowed);
- the planned 3D printing quantity (batch size).
The more precise the technical brief, the faster and more accurate the final result will be.
2. Sending the object for 3D scanning
The object intended for 3D scanning and further digital processing must be delivered to us.
The simplest and most convenient method is shipping via a parcel terminal (DPD).
This approach is efficient because:
- 3D scanning,
- 3D modeling,
- 3D printing
are carried out by separate specialized departments / workshops.
3. Invoice for 3D scanning and 3D modeling
Before starting the work, we issue the first invoice, which includes:
- 3D scanning of the object;
- 3D modeling and digital refinement.
Once the invoice is approved and paid, we proceed with the work.
4. 3D scanning and delivery of the finished file
As soon as the object arrives:
- we perform 3D scanning;
- clean, optimize, and refine the model;
- prepare the final 3D file.
The completed 3D file is delivered to the client for review and approval before printing.
5. Invoice for 3D printing
After the 3D model is approved, we issue the second invoice for 3D printing.
The cost depends on:
- material selection;
- quantity (batch size);
- complexity of the model;
- production time.
6. 3D printing and shipping
After payment, we start the 3D printing process.
Finished parts are:
- quality-checked,
- carefully packed,
- shipped via a parcel terminal, unless otherwise agreed.
Summary
This step-by-step process ensures:
- full quality control at every stage;
- clear and transparent collaboration;
- optimized timelines and project costs.
